What have you been playing recently?

What games are you playing? video games, board games, card games, internet games?

I am primarily a cozy game enthusiast, and I like adventure games too! I'm very very excited for Monster Hunter Wilds next month, and Pokemon Z-A this year, but while i wait for those, I have been playing Infinity Nikki, Hello Kitty Island Adventure (coming soon to Switch, I am soooo excited!) and Cozy Caravan, which I got in a Steam Sale, and has truly been curing my depression, ha ha. I was so excited you could play as a seal character!

Belatedly chiming in here- some of the Pokemon games do have pretty nice stories, tbh, I think Heartgold & Soulsilver are excellent games! I also recommend Black & White, Sun & Moon or even Sword & Shield (which may be a slightly contentious opinion but I stand by it, ha ha)- I found the plots in those to be some of my favorites! I also rly love the characters' plots in Scarlet and Violet, but they are rly different from the rest of the mainline games, so I'd def rec a more traditional one first. Also def echoing Mystery Dungeon, if you haven't started playing yet- they are wonderful games :)

yesss hello to another nikki player!! Your coords are so cute! :D I started playing a couple weeks ago and it's such a lovely game! It's my first Nikki game and I find it so soothing to play; I lose track of time while exploring a lot, ha ha. Would you like to be friends? Pls feel free to add me! 601433878

My work got cancelled today so I decided to download Love and Deepspace. I usually try to avoid mobile games and only have a DS emulator and another game that was previously lost media, but I'm such a romance junkie that I wanted to try something new. Of course it's another gacha... but I really like how you can customize your player character, and the boys seem cute so far if a bit bland.

I don't have a ton of time to play video games lately, but during my winter break I did put some time into Style Savvy: Fashion Forward. My fiance modded my 3DS for me for my birthday in 2023, and that was one of the first games I decided to download- didn't get much of a chance to play it until recently, though. I really enjoy fashion games, and this one has adorable recurring characters. The part at the beginning where you're transported into the world of the dollhouse made me really emotional for some reason. I like the fact that I can use the game to express myself creatively without a ton of effort or stress.

omg another style savvy player!! I really like fashion forward, the doll world is such a creative twist. idk if you have all the locations unlocked yet but if not youre in for a nice surprise (esp the beach location). I played the first 3 style savvy games and although Fashion Forward is probably the best of them Im actually more drawn to Trendsetters (the 2nd one). If you ever get around to it lmk. Now that your 3DS is modded you can play anything you want which is sweet 8-)

it's SOOOO much fun, i was actually really surprised! i avoided it at first, bc i played love nikki back in the day and spent way too much money on it lmao, but my friend convinced me to give it a try. it feels like a cross between like botw and final fantasy xiv, but with a complex dress up system? like it's genuinely fun and nice to play as an rpg, and you CAN get away with playing it without spending money if you avoid the gatcha part...but it's difficult ugh.

these are the only coords i had already uploaded lol but yeah TLDR it's fun, but i get avoiding gatcha games lolol
Your outfits remind me of Pompompurin and egg yolks in a good way! So cute!! I remember love nikki from COVID, glad to see the series continue with so much success!

I do plan on getting back into Hypnospace Outlaw and Psychonauts too, since these two rock hard-
Webfishing?! I've heard of that being a new thingy to make friends on the internet. That sounds very fun to do with friends.... I wonder if a Juice Bar server would be something anyone else is interested in?!

I've been curious about Psychonauts for a while! The art style reminds me of you!!

What god-tier taste!! I love that seal creature too, he's so cute~! I didn't know HKIA was coming to Switch either?! I remember a wii game I really wanted where you lived in Hello Kitty town and I wished I could live there too... Favorite Pokemon and Sanrio character?!

I can't do gachas, but the men look hot in that game. The fanart too.... :uwu: How is it going so far? Do you have a favorite?

I made the grave GRAVE mistake of buying Baldur's Gate 3 during a sale before Christmas. It was my husband who wanted us to try it out and play together but I'm the one who got completely hooked. People warned me that this game sucks you in and... they were right

I'm addicted. Send help.

Yee! Think of it as an MMO, but a lot cozier and chill. It's got little secrets, customization, fun fishing mechanics (that are challenging in a balanced way), scratch tickets and other stuff.

Also, you mean it like a Discord server? That would be fun ^^ We still gotta ponder over that sometime.

And EEE- I love the style for Psychonauts too <33 It's a huge honor you think the vibes match me!

So far I've only played the original Style Savvy, Fashion Forward, and Fashion Dreamer, which is kind of like a spiritual successor? I've loved them all so far. I'll definitely update the thread when I end up trying the other titles (inevitably I will). It's pretty cool to see that there are other players at the Juice Bar! We should all share our outfits on here or something.

Yesss, my genius fiance got me the Japanese Happy Home Designer-themed 3DS for my birthday and managed to mod it so that it's in English and can play North American cartridges. I think modded systems are so cool. What games have you been playing on yours? & ooh, I love both of those games you mentioned- I received the Switch version of MySims this past Christmas from my fiance as well (spoiled much?) and have been enjoying it immensely! It really sparked my imagination back as a young tween, playing it in the living room on my Wii.
