Spam Bot PSA

Post by Robyn »

Hello!

There have been several spam bots that snuck in within the last day. I have banished them.

After some diligent research, I have learned that the image captchas that came pre-installed with phpBB were pillaged by the bots many years ago. Fear not, there is another way. I have implemented a simple Q&A style captcha that is supposed to be effective in preventing bot infiltration. If this does not work, I will start approving member requests manually. If you see a bot, please use the "report" feature, it sends a notification to both pom and I for review. Also, never click any link that they post.

Thank you for your time and remember
