Advent Calendar 2024 support group

Post by hat »

Anyone else doing an advent calendar this year? Please post if you are and also share your best ideas too because I do not have 24 ideas yet!!!!! If you aren't, please consider making one with us! It's fun, I promise....... :barf:

You can find mine this year here: https://hat.neocities.org/home#advent/2024/index
And if you need an example, here's the one I made last year: https://hat.neocities.org/home#advent/2023/index

Also please feel free to cry here when you get overwhelmed on your advent calendar. We're here for support!

Disclaimer: "You aren't asking for coding help!!!!" HTML/CSS is coding just as much as writing advent calendar boxes is (not coding at all) so go eat an egg

Of course I am! https://sylum.web.fc2.com/advent/2024/
I'm recycling some ideas from last year but I also do not have 24 days worth of cahntent. I think at least 5 days worth of doll photos is a great start.

I was so lazy with HTML that I didn't even switch it up from last year! I don't think it's a big deal. The little surprise content is the important part!

@celestefem I linked you as well! I'm sorry to hear you fell into the ink rabbithole. It's so fun.... You'll have to post which inks play well together when you've discovered them! I've had good luck with a few Higgins inks not budging with water or alcohol.

Yesterday was almost really rough for me! If I hadn't been carrying Cheby and my camera around, I would have had nothing to post! Maybe December is just the time of year to carry my camera with me at all times.

Yup, oof. Oh, I'll have to look into Higgins, thanks! Though, I looked it up and I might've chosen the absolute worst time of year to get into this -- apparently, ink doesn't handle freezing temperatures well. The same thing happens with bookbinding glue so I knew to stock up ahead of time, but... So many pretty inks I'll just have to daydream about until spring... *sigh*
