Kandi Creations!

So for Art Fight this year, I was kinda artblocked. Just had no excitement about any art style and couldn't get myself to do anything. Until some friends of mine started posting the kandi bracelets they were making for their "attacks"! I really got into it, ultimately making 30 bracelets for the event (and like three just for me). You can see the bracelets separately on my Sheezy.art if you'd like, but here's all of them (minus the personal ones) together!

Also my favorite personal bracelet, though it needs some revisions to sit straight when on my wrist, I really really love it:

Since Art Fight has ended, I've started branching out into making kandi creatures! I've made my opossum OC, Cake (or as close an approximation of him as I can):

Image

My Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach OC, Vincent Croc (though I'm probably going to redo this one to change a couple details that are bothering me):

Image

And my favorite thus far, the FNAF: Security Breach character, Montgomery Gator! He even has a slice of pizza. :3

Anyone else make kandi stuff? I'd love to see your creations!

I loved your kandi animals :wuv: These sure bring me back memories! Though the type of bead was smaller, they were really popular in my country when I was a kid:

I had a bunch of keychains animals like that. My older cousin had a friend that was giving me extra classes to help in school with math and she made and sell a bunch of animals like these so I always asked my grandma for pocket money to buy then. The classes didn't helped much in school but I ended up with a bunch of keychains

Thanks so much! :3 I never did learn how to do those woven bracelets, lol. Not even the ones with the plastic lacing either. Just never got around to them I guess but I always thought they were cool. But yeah I've been having a blast with the beads!

Thank you! :D And whoa, those are so intricate! I know people make some really crazy stuff with the beads I've been working with, but I'm not at that skill level yet. Maybe someday!

And lol, well at least you had your keychains!

I noticed the FNAF reference like instantly LOL I love how you shot the Monty bracelet especially. I didn't join AF (never have time) so don't have anything to share, but I do enjoy seeing other creations.

oh, fun! i really love your little kandi rendition of your opossum oc, also, key!

i haven’t quite been making kandi stuff, but i have suddenly gotten really into shrinky dinks and thread bracelets for some reason. a couple of little in progress bits:

i figured that keith haring’s stuff would work well for these sorts of experiments.

Monty is my favorite creation so far, lol. I actually made him as an accessory for a cosplay I'm (slowly) working on, of a Pizzaplex Employee. (specifically Monty's Golf employee; I even made myself an employee ID that I think is pretty freakin legit looking!)

I love your bracelets you've made; Keith Haring is indeed a good choice! :3

Quoting you 'cause I wanted you to see you'd gotten me into doing shrinky dink charms now XD

After seeing this bracelet on Twitter yesterday and being greatly amused, I had to make my own version!

Image

I had two of these charms and the other came out nicer, but I dropped it and the damned thing vanished into friggin' Narnia or some shit. So we get the backup charm. Oh well.

oh, nice! that’s such a fun concept for a bracelet and a pretty color palette. it’s too bad the void swallowed up your other shrinky dink, but this one’s still fine!
